Mario

Mario is the Greek guy on the team and is originally from Athens. He has been tattooing professionally since 2000 – for over 20 years!

During his career as a tattoo artist, he has worked in various well-known studios in Greece, trained well-known artists and now works in his own studio, Needlepoint Tattooing on the beautiful island of Corfu.

Mario visits us regularly and several times a year as a permanent resident guest. In theory, Mario can do almost anything and has worked in almost every possible style so far – however, over the years he has felt most comfortable in traditional and Japanese / Asian styles and has specialized in them. His work is breathtakingly clean and technically flawless, his traditional is strong, colorful and full of power. His heart has always beat for tattoos and their culture – so it was only a matter of time before, when he saw the opportunity, he immediately seized his chance and took this path.

Mario usually comes with his wife and manager Stauroula. Both speak fluent English in addition to Greek, but Mario sometimes needs a while to get used to the English language – be patient with him and you will love him and his little jokes, just as we do! If you are interested in an appointment with Mario but shy away from speaking English, that’s no problem. We are all fluent and happy to help translate.
